A project looking at bringing together math and design.
This project was initially inspired by a friend who works with textiles and was looking into new patterns for her fabric. Her requirements and my love for math and art motivated this project. I wanted to make a tool that made it easy to design patterns and promote the idea that math is beautiful. All the patterns in the project are generated through mathematical equations.
Using brownian motion and fractal formulae, the designs can be created by users through several interactive gestures. Once complete, users can email their designs to themselves, or peers, to share their work.
